The stage is set: Patriots, Giants face-off in Super Bowl XLVI

In dramatic fashion, the AFC and NFC champions were decided today.

The New England Patriots won the early game, thanks in part to a missed Baltimore Ravens field goal in the closing moments. The Patriots went on to win 23-20.

On the NFC side, the New York Giants outlasted the San Francisco 49ers in a rain-soaked 20-17 overtime thriller. Two miscues by 49ers punt returner Kyle Williams gave the Giants new life and led to the game-winning field goal. And, as you can see, his teammates weren’t too pleased.

The Giants and Patriots meet on Feb. 5 in a rematch of Super Bowl XLII. New York used David Tyree’s helmet to help upset the Pats in that game, 17-14.
